THE CALL TO LEARN

Thanks for visiting this site.

The great need of our time is also our greatest opportunity!
Today, the need for Christ-like servant leaders is greater than ever before. With a population of about one billion people half of who are non-Christian, a slow and many times a negatively growing economy as well as many issues of bad governance Africa needs Christ- like servant leaders. You and I have been entrusted with the greatest opportunity of our time in serving Africa, our continent and the world through effectively addressing these needs.

There is a great need for trained pastors who are able to minister effectively to an urban population. There is a great need to have evangelical leaders to confront the rise of many cults. There is a great need to equip frontline Christian leaders serving in the professional and business world. There is a great need for leaders who know and understand the needs of our young people who are the current majority in the continent. There is a great need for us to train and deploy missionaries to other African countries and other continents such as Europe and North America.

The Nairobi International School of Theology recognizes that God has gifted and called each Christian to a particular task in making disciples of all nations. At NIST, you will be transformed to Christ-likeness, sharpened in your vision, equipped to handle change with better interpersonal skills, witness, disciple, mentor and lead others.  You will be prepared for higher responsibilities at your work place, church, neighborhood or another country.  NIST recognizes you are uniquely gifted and we want to come alongside you as a partner to equip you for effective ministry.

Our mission is to train and educate Christ-like servant leaders to spearhead holistic transformation in Africa and the world. To fulfill this mission, NIST has Master of Divinity and Master of Arts Programs tailored to meet your needs.  We also have a Diploma and Higher Diploma programs for you. Depending on your gifting and calling.    NIST offers you programs in six areas:

1. Biblical and Theological Studies
2. Christian Education Studies
3. Intercultural or Mission Studies
4. Pastoral Studies
5. Leadership Studies
6. Counseling Studies

We have a flexible schedule that allows you to take evening, Saturday and holiday classes. Through our Institute of Christian Leadership, we also offer short courses, seminars and conferences.  Welcome to NIST and may God fulfill His purpose for your life through maximizing the opportunities He has offered you in addressing the needs and challenges in Africa and the world as a servant- leader.  Thank you.
